In no particular order

In subsequent posts, I'll fill in the story of how we got to where we are.  Today I'll write about today!  I just did a PiYo workout with Tamara.  It is appropriately called Drench.  I'd say the balance and flexibility parts were like yoga, but with some PiYo surprises such as tricep pushups and a bendy twisty thing called the PiYo flip.  Then put lots of reps and fairly high speed to it to work up a sweat and some serious burn.  Like most bodyweight exercises, you get out of it what you put in to it... so I went deep with squats and lunges, and really got fatigued.  I took advantage of the modifiers -- or just stopped -- when I got tired.  Will be interesting to try this workout again in a few weeks to see if it gets any easier.

Numero Uno

I had grand visions of a transformational and inspirational title here, to mark the beginning of some great journey into a new life. Of course the reality is this is another chapter of a book that began long ago. And I'm excited that it will be a great chapter. Life is different for me now, and what worked (or didn't) previously may not apply any longer.  I need to set some goals and figure out what helps and hurts progress toward those goals.  There are plenty of (too many!) sources of advice on eating healthy, losing weight, or gaining muscle. Not all of them apply to me -- or will to you -- and many will contradict each other. I'm excited about doing the research and experimenting, ultimately reporting on what works for me and what doesn't. I should say what works for us: Tamara may be posting some about her own journey.
